I consider it such a privilege to meet new couples and document their relationships, learning bits and pieces about them and their stories along the way. Candice and Daniel are a perfect example, though I must admit that they cheated a bit by bringing way too much to the table. First off, Daniel has a top notch name, can't argue with that. Second, they have a ballin dog named Bo and brought him to their engagement session, with a NO HOLDS BARRED policy on me being able to pet him. Which I did, incessantly. Third, Candice knows I have long/rebellious/unwiedly hair and bought me a bottle of her favorite product to try, and it basically changed my life. They're big fans of adventure and new experiences and goofiness and all sorts of other things I'm partial to, but above all they love and support each other. Their story is an amazing and inspiring one, and as fun as it's been to goof off with them, I'm most excited (and humbled) to be a part of the documenting this piece of their journey. So without further ado, here are a few peeks into our exploration of Brazos Bend State Park, an old date spot of theirs and a locale full of interesting surprises :)

I'm so thankful for old friends and new families. I'm also humbled - humbled that I get welcomed into their lives, that I'm given the privilege of documenting them at their most dolled up, most casual, most goofy, most intimate, most real. Jessica and Lane are two truly special people, and I'm not just throwing those words out because it seems nice to put on a blog post. Lane is the sweetest guy you'll ever meet and well on his way to becoming a rockstar doctor, and Jessica is a talented actress and all-around fascinating renaissance woman. They're both incredibly bright, quick witted, just the right amount of childish, thoroughly well traveled, and persistently, effortlessly kind. I have no doubt they're going to be amazing parents, and I'm so excited to see them grow as a new family.
It was an absolute blast hanging out with them at their home in New Orleans and capturing a slice of their home life (and I don't mean the pumpkin cinnamon buns, though they were definitely life changing). Once again, I'm thankful: for Jessica and Lane as friends, for life in small pieces, and for the opportunity to journal times like this through photographs. Much love y'all :)
I just had the privilege of photographing a beautiful wedding for Ashley and Michael, and have been so excited to share some of Ashley bridal session images. So as a bit of a sneak peek before the wedding photos, here are a handful from our afternoon session!Photographed at the wedding venue, The Gallery .
Her dad visited the session, of course including a few of those as well :)
After a few months of traveling and being away from the blog, I'm excited to start sharing new sessions again! Many many posts to write and stories to tell, but for now I wanted to share this engagement sneak peek as my first jump back into things :)Whitney and John are two awesome, laid back, people-loving folks who have just been super cool to work with. We had a blast shooting their engagements out in Magnolia, and I'm beyond pumped to be photographing their wedding later this year!
