I somehow just consistently get to work with amazing people, and I'm quite thankful that train hasn't slowed.

But Candice (and her husband Daniel) has darn neared messed up the whole system by being so doggone great that I've almost felt spoiled.  If you've seen any of my other recent posts, you've likely read a few of the many reasons why she's amazing and they're just the very best kind of people.  Being able to document the last year with them has truly been an honor, and thanks to their fun loving attitudes and badass sidekick pup, a total blast in the process.

Much love and many thanks to Candice for being such a killer sport through her nature and adventure inspired bridal session :)

And thanks as well to Flower Vibes for the killer bouquet!

Candice & Daniel:  Wedding Story

I consider it such a privilege to meet new couples and document their relationships, learning bits and pieces about them and their stories along the way.  Candice and Daniel are a perfect example, though I must admit that they cheated a bit by bringing way too much to the table.  First off, Daniel has a top notch name, can't argue with that.  Second, they have a ballin dog named Bo and brought him to their engagement session, with a NO HOLDS BARRED policy on me being able to pet him.  Which I did, incessantly.  Third, Candice knows I have long/rebellious/unwiedly hair and bought me a bottle of her favorite product to try, and it basically changed my life.  They're big fans of adventure and new experiences and goofiness and all sorts of other things I'm partial to, but above all they love and support each other.  Their story is an amazing and inspiring one, and as fun as it's been to goof off with them, I'm most excited (and humbled) to be a part of the documenting this piece of their journey.  So without further ado, here are a few peeks into our exploration of Brazos Bend State Park, an old date spot of theirs and a locale full of interesting surprises :)

You may hear people talk about how weddings are stressful, and how there's always so much happening that there's rarely enough time to have any fun.  Hogwash.  Wedding days may seem daunting, but at the end of the day it's all about having a blast, making new memories, and stepping into marriage with a big ole hug of support from all of your favorite people.

Justin and Krysten had that heartfelt fun-loving approach down so well it was infectious - I already laugh a lot at weddings so I was toast, but it seems like everyone else there caught the bug too.  They're a rad couple as it is - Krysten is my go-to person for music festival recommendations, Justin is a hoss and practically built the wedding rigs himself, and they're just good folks to hang around.  I was (and am) so excited for them, not only because they're good people and great company, but because they themselves were so clearly excited to be together.  It could have poured rain and they would have had a killer time through it, no doubt in my mind.  :)

I had the pleasure of working with Jennie and Austin the other day on a cold and quiet afternoon in Magnolia.  They are so obviously in love, and it was such a blast to capture that and hang out with them for a few hours - the whole session just flew by with a hefty portion of laughing in between.  I'm so excited for the two of them, and can't wait to be a part of their wedding day. :)

Side note: We were joined by Jennie's two Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies, who were so adorable that I literally hurt inside when I saw them.   I even had to take a few photos of them just hopping and bumbling around everywhere (they were too young to know how to run yet).  Amazing.

It's not often that I get to shoot at an 18th century chapel, especially one that was found in the countryside of France then shipped to the states (what!).

But Casey and Wesley are superstars, and we were privileged to use some incredible spots for their session, one of which featured a French chapel from 1790...with almost all original materials.  And while we did have some beautiful locales to work with, the limelight was all them - they are such genuine, great folks, and it was a blast to work with them and be a part of their wedding (to be posted soon).

Until then, I hope you enjoy some of our session!
